SUBJECT: «UPDATE ON SEAFERERS’ CERTIFICATION RELATED MEASURES TAKEN BY THE HELLENIC MARITIME ADMINISTRATION AS A RESULT OF COVID- 19»

All Certificates of Competency (CoCs) and Certificates of Proficiency (CoCs) of seafarers which have been issued by the competent Greek authority, in accordance with the provisions of the international Convention STCW 1978 , as amended, are granted with a general extended validity until 30^th  of June 2022, regardless of whether an extension has been granted before.

The Hellenic Maritime Administration also allows for the extension of the endorsements of attestation, provided that the CoC and the CoP of the foreign Authority, which are endorsed, are due to expire during the abovementioned period.

The aforementioned extensions are in effect without requiring any additional entry on the certificate or submission of relevant request or other documentation.

All Certificates of Competency (CoCs) and Certificates of Proficiency (CoCs) of seafarers which have been issued by the competent Greek authority, in accordance with the provisions of the international Convention STCW 1978 , as amended, and are due to expire during the period from 01/04/2021 to 30/09/2021, are granted with a general extended validity of 6 (six) months,  regardless of whether an extension has been granted before.
